The Azerbaijani Armed Forces are actively moving in the “gray zone” near the borders of Armenia. The Telegram channel @wargonzo, reported citing a source in the Russian security forces not directly related to the activities of the peacekeeping contingent.

“According to them, taking advantage of the situation after the second Karabakh war, the Azerbaijani military are trying to improve their positions not only on the line of contact with the Artsakh Defense Army, but also on certain sections of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

This is also due to the fact that after the transfer of certain districts of Artsakh under the control of Baku, the Armenian services ensuring the security of the border received additional areas of responsibility, because the conditional (and somewhere quite real) front between Armenia and Azerbaijan increased by several tens of kilometers.

While the situation with border demarcation is in limbo and negotiations on this issue are still underway, Aliyev hopes to “chop off” additional territories of Armenia “on the sly”.
