If each of us knows that there will be another war in the near future, will he continue to behave like today, yesterday, the first day, tomorrow։ Suren Sahakyan

Economist Suren Sahakyan, Secretary of the Executive Body of the “Citizen’s Decision” Social-Democratic Party, writes on his Facebook page։

“I wonder, if each of us knows that there will be another war in the near future, will he continue to behave like today, yesterday, the first day, tomorrow?” Will they continue to spoil the army with their unbalanced words, assessment, and mockery? Will they continue to declare, accuse and condemn as traitors everyone except themselves and their close circle? What will change if we know that, for example, there will be a new war in 3 months?

My analysis does not allow me to find an argument why that war should not be, who and how can prevent that war. If there are some opportunities, they are beyond us. We are not the ones who decide. I have talked to very smart people, I have also talked to those who have information. Their assessment is softer, they say, the probability is high, but it will not happen sooner than it will. But even then, the risk is so great that we need to be stronger than we are today.

My opportunities to destabilize the political situation are a little more than writing status, demanding, rejecting, and calling on Facebook. But I do not know what will come out of it and will we not be in a worse situation in the end? We need to approach the issue with more responsibility than most of us do. I would like each of us to be aware of that responsibility and imagine the second step after demanding something. If there are solutions, let’s share, but step by step, from the current situation to the stabilization and the beginning of the rise. That is the imperative of today.”
