MP: Azerbaijan will not allow Russian peacekeepers to enter Karabakh

Azerbaijan will not allow Russian peacekeepers to participate in the Karabakh conflict until all the armed forces of Armenia leave the territory of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. The deputy of the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan Rasim Musabekov said this on the air on Dozhd.

The Armenians want under any flag, first of all, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, to bring Russian troops to Azerbaijan, which will cover them from Azerbaijan. Russian soldiers will stand, and behind them, with their tanks, cannons, Smerch installations and other things, [the Armenians] will sit quietly and plunder the Azerbaijani occupied territories in absolute confidence that in the future they will be in impunity,” Musabeyov said.

In a conversation with RBC, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to this issue․ “It is wrong to take such a big issue, the Karabakh issue, and discuss its individual details, details of a possible settlement. Here you need to look at all this in a chain of cause-and-effect relationships. All these issues should be discussed in the negotiation process, which should take place in the format of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship․»
