The Ukraine will not provide military assistance to the parties to the conflict: Vladimir Zelensky

The Ukraine will not provide military assistance to the parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky stated during a briefing in the Chernivtsi region.

The speech of the head of state was broadcast by “Ukraine-24” TV channel.

Earlier, Lyudmila Marchenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada and a member of the People’s Servant presidential faction, said on the same TV channel that Kiyev was allegedly ready to support Azerbaijan “on various platforms.” According to her, it is about both humanitarian and military assistance. Meanwhile, on Friday, the party issued a statement saying that Marchenko’s statements were not the official position of either the faction or Ukraine.

During the briefing, Zelensky said that Kiyev calls on the conflicting parties, Armenia and Azerbaijan, to have a dialogue. At the same time, he clarified that in the last two years, “very serious, strong” relations have developed between Kiyev and Baku, that Ukraine supports Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
