Three criminal cases were initiated in the Tavush Regional Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee on the grounds of shooting by the enemy on 14 July, 2020, on the grounds of national hatred, deprivation of life in a way dangerous to many, and deliberate/intentional destruction of property.

On 14 July, 2020, at around 10:15 a.m., shots were fired from the enemy’s military bases on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on the Berd community of the Tavush region, motivated by national hatred, with the aim of intentionally killing and intentionally destroying property. The shots were made in the direction of the Berd brandy factory, as a result of which the shells damaged one of the factory’s enameled containers and the windows of the building, and the crime was not completed as the employees of the brandy factory hid in the shelters.
A criminal case on the incident was initiated under Article 34-104 (attempted murder), Part 2 Articles 6, and 13, and Article 185 points 1 and 4 of Part 2of the RA Criminal Code (intentional property destruction or damage).
On 14 July, 2020, from 09:00 a.m. to 12: 00 pm., shots were fired from the enemy’s military bases on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on the settlement Aygepar of the Berd community of the Tavush region, motivated by national hatred, in a life-threatening manner, illegally, with the aim of intentionally killing and intentionally destroying property. The shell was released in the direction of the houses of 7 residents of Aygepar settlement. However, the crime was not completed and the outer walls and windows of the mentioned private houses were damaged in a dangerous way.
A criminal case on the incident was initiated under Article 34-104 (attempted murder), Part 6, Clauses 6, 13, and 185 of the RA Criminal Code (intentional property destruction or damage) by points 1 and 4 of Part 2.
On 14 July, 2020, from 10:00 to 11: 00 a.m.., shots were fired from the enemy’s military bases on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on the settlement Tavush of the Berd community of the Tavush region, motivated by national hatred, in a life-threatening manner, illegally, with the aim of intentionally killing and intentionally destroying property. The shell was released in the direction of the cemetery of Tavush settlement. As a result, the tombstone and the 3-meter-long wall of her grave of a resident who died in 1990 were damaged by a shell blast.
A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the incident, under the Article 185 Part 2, Clauses 1 and 4 of the RA Criminal Code (deliberate destruction or damage of property).
Preliminary investigation on the mentioned criminal cases is underway.
