The sitting on the case of the second President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharian, former Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, former Secretary General of the CSTO Yuri Khachaturov and former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Ghorgyan chaired by Judge Anna Danibekyan will soon start today at the Shengavit residence of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan,.

Robert Kocharyan’s defense team has filed a motion to replace the detention with a personal guarantee. Former Prime Ministers of the Republic of Armenia Vazgen Manukyan, Khosrov Harutyunyan, Karen Karapetyan, as well as former Prime Minister of the Artsakh Republic Anushavan Danielyan made personal guarantees.

They are all in court and appear before the judge.

Karen Karapetyan said that he works in Russia, but does not live there, but in Armenia. Khosrov Harutyunyan mentioned that he teaches at the Academy of Management, and Vazgen Manukyan said that he is a pensioner.

The presiding judge presented Robert Kocharyan’s accusation to them, noting that 500,000 AMD should be paid, as well as criminal liability is provided, if the defendant is released and avoids or hides from the investigation.

Khosrov Harutyunyan asked a question to the judge, noting that he did not have the grounds to present his personal guarantee, to which the judge gave a negative answer.
