29 Deaths of Coronavirus in Armenia: How old were they?

As of 27 April, a total of 29 citizens died of coronavirus in Armenia. According to the Ministry of Health, all the dead patients had other concomitant diseases.

The first case of death was registered on 26 March. According to the ministry, the patient was 72 years old, had coronavirus disease, as well as bilateral pneumonia, polyorgan failure, respiratory distress syndrome, hypertension and arrhythmias.

On 29 March, the second and third cases of death were registered: a 55-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man.

On 2 April, 3 deaths were registered. One of the dead patients was not a citizen of the Republic of Armenia, he was 78 years old, had coronavirus disease, confirmed bilateral polygenetic pneumonia, developed blood coagulation disorders, which in turn made the treatment difficult. The other death was registered in a 68-year-old citizen, he had coronavirus disease, confirmed bilateral pneumonia. In addition, the citizen had concomitant chronic diseases, including ischemic heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The next death was recorded at a woman at aged 76, together with coronavirus disease she had confirmed bilateral polysegmental pneumonia. In addition, the woman had concomitant chronic diseases, including diabetes, arterial hypertension.

On 5 April, the 8th case of death was registered, the citizen was 68 years old, had bilateral polycystic ovary syndrome, diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, acute cerebral circulatory disorders of the ischemic type.

On 7, 8 and 9 April, one case of death was registered on each day. The 93-year-old patient died of coronavirus disease, with confirmed right-sided pneumonia. The man had concomitant chronic diseases, including prostate cancer and hypertension. The 80-year-old patient had coronavirus disease, severe pneumonia, complicated by respiratory distress syndrome. The man had concomitant chronic diseases, including arterial hypertension, cachexia, and senile sclerosis. The 72-year-old patient had coronavirus disease, confirmed bilateral pneumonia. In addition, the man had concomitant chronic diseases such as hypertension and prostate adenoma.

The 12th and 13th cases of death were registered on 10 April. The 86-year-old and 81-year-old patients had coronavirus disease, confirmed bilateral pneumonia. In addition, they had chronic illnesses, including high blood pressure, diabetes, and coronary heart disease.

The 14th death was registered on 12 April. The 67-year-old patient had coronavirus disease, confirmed bilateral pneumonia. In addition, the woman had a chronic disease that accompanies diabetes.

On 13 April, 2 more deaths were registered. The 65-year-old and 82-year-old patients had coronavirus disease, confirmed severe bilateral pneumonia, and acute respiratory failure. In addition, they had chronic illnesses, including high blood pressure, diabetes, coronary heart disease, and acute renal failure.

The 17th death was registered on 14 April. The 66-year-old patient had coronavirus disease, confirmed severe bilateral pneumonia. The man had a concomitant chronic disease, ischemic heart disease, which caused thromboembolism of the upper mesenteric arteries. Lower limb amputation was performed.

The 18th death was registered on 15 April․ The 73-year-old patient had coronavirus disease, confirmed bilateral pneumonia. The man also had chronic diseases that accompanied: ischemic heart disease, hypertension. During the treatment there was an exacerbation of chronic diseases: arrhythmia – persistent fever, ischemic stroke.

The 19th death from coronavirus was registered on 16 April. The 58-year-old patient had coronavirus disease, confirmed bilateral subtotal pneumonia. The man also had chronic diseases accompanying it: ischemic heart disease, hypertension of III degree, obesity of II-III degree. Acute myocardial infarction with ST elevation was diagnosed during treatment. On 8 April, coronary artery stenting was performed, after which the patient developed distress syndrome, acute respiratory failure of III degree, sepsis, septic shock. Prolonged pulmonary insufficiency developed after prolonged pulmonary artificial respiration.

17 April, the 20th death. The 75-year-old patient had coronavirus disease, confirmed bilateral infiltrative pneumonia. The woman also had chronic diseases accompanied by hypertension of III degree, obesity of II-III degree, atherosclerosis mainly of the brain and coronary arteries. Acute respiratory failure of III degree, distress syndrome, sepsis, refractive septic shock developed during treatment.

On 19 April, 2 deaths were registered. Patients were 62 and 90 years old and had concomitant chronic diseases.

The 23rd and 24th deaths were registered on 20 April. The patients were 88 and 65 years old and had concomitant chronic diseases.

3 deaths were egistered on 23 April․ The patients were 87, 84 and 81 years old and had concomitant chronic diseases.

The 28th case of death was registered on 24 April, the patient was 71 years old and had accompanying chronic diseases.

The 29th case of death was registered on 26 April. The patient was 80 years old and had concomitant chronic diseases.

Thus, the age of the dead patients is 55, 58, 62, 65, 65, 66, 67, 68, 68, 71, 72, 72, 73, 73, 75, 78, 78, 78, 80, 80, 81, 81, 82. 84, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 93. The average age is 75.4.
