The Government will support Individual Businesses that are Subject of Micro-Enterprises

At the 9 April regular sitting, the Government made a decision on the 10th event to neutralize the Economic Consequences of the Coronavirus.

1․ The objective of this event is to support individual entrepreneurs who are subject of the micro-enterprise of the Republic of Armenia by providing a one-time grant aimed to neutralize the consequences due to the spread of the coronavirus.

2․ The beneficiaries of the event are the persons who are the subject of micro-enterprise in accordance with the procedure established by the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia after 1 January, 2020, who:

  • In 2019, according to the procedure established by the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia, have been the subject of family business, or
  • In 2019, individuals who are not sole proprietors were entitled to a tax exemption under the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Tax Privileges of Self-Employed Persons, or
  • As of 1 January, 2020, are a natural person who is not a sole proprietor and in 2019, they were not mentioned in the first and second points of this section, and were not registered as sole proprietors.
  1. The assistance is provided to the beneficiaries one-time, in the amount of 10% of the turnover of goods, services and work performed during the first quarter of 2020, but not more than twice the minimum wage, except for the cases mentioned in the fourth part of this appendix.
  1. Regardless of the provisions of Part 3 of this Annex, beneficiaries shall be provided one-time assistance in the amount of the minimum wage, if:
  • Beneficiaries as of 1 April, 2020, have applied to the “Office for the Investment of Cash Registers” state non-profit organization of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia (hereinafter RA SRC) for the acquisition of cash registers but they do not yet have a new generation of cash registers activated in the SRC Information Database.
  • They are a beneficiary of the third part of the second part of this appendix.
  1. The turnover of goods, services and supplies supplied by the beneficiaries during the first quarter of 2020.
  2. The total sum of the revenues reflected in the calculation documents written off by the person who is the beneficiary in the electronic system of writing off the calculation documents of the RA State Revenue Committee and the sum of the fiscal revenues of the new generation of cash registers in the RA State Revenue Committee database, is considered to be the sales turnover of goods, services and supplies by the beneficiaries during the first quarter of 2020.
  3.  The following persons cannot receive this support:
  • whose turnover of goods, services and works supplied during the first quarter of 2020 exceeded six million drams,
  • who had two or more employees from 1 January, 2020 to 1 April, 2020,
  • who were (are) defined by the decisions of the Government of the Republic of Armenia N 358-L of March 26, 2020, N 410-L of March 30, N 412-L of March 30, N 427-L of April 2. Beneficiary of the event.
