Prohibition of Entry into RA will not apply to Close Relatives of the Deceased who arrived for Requiem or Funeral

Commandant Tigran Avinyan made a new decision on 21 March;

Governed by Clause 2 (3) of the Annex to Decision No 298-N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of 16 March 2020 “On declaring a State of Emergency in the Republic of Armenia”, Make the following amendment to the Decree N7 of 20 March, 2020 defining special and urgent cases of entry into the Republic of Armenia:

  1. After the words “in case of urgent need” in paragraph 1 of the decision, add the wording, “or to the close relatives of the deceased for the purpose of attending a requiem or funeral. For the purposes of this decision, the deceased’s parents, husband, wife, children, sister and brother are considered as close relatives.”
  2. Complement paragraph 1 to the new sub point with the following wording: “Exceptions to the prohibition of entry into the territory of the Republic of Armenia shall also apply to persons belonging to the frontier troops of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia and their family members. For the purposes of this decision, parents, children, spouses, children living together are considered to be family members.”
  3. This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its publication. “

Prohibition of entry into RA will not apply to close relatives of the deceased who arrived to participate in the requiem or funeral.
