In recent days it has been reported that some citizens in panic are buying large quantities of food from stores. This is probably due to the first case of the detection of coronavirus in Armenia.

This is reported by the Government Information Center “Information Checking Center” launched by the government.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Head of the State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition Gegham Gevorgyan have already made a call not to panic and not make large purchases, as there is no shortage of food products in the country, and in general, there is no shortage of any goods, except for medical masks (which are available in hospitals and medical facilities).

Armenia is a self-sufficient country with a number of food products, that is, the quantity of goods produced satisfies or almost meets the domestic demand.
