Anahit Ghazaryan is one of the women who is looking for a baby lost after childbirth. In this case, the child is her younger brother. Her mother gave birth at the Republican Hospital 40 years ago in 1980. She was told that the baby had died, but she had always doubted that it was alive because she gave birth easily and without problems and then saw the baby with healthy skin color.
“I know my brother is alive. I look forward to hugging him. My eyes are wet from the morning,” Anahit Ghazaryan told Iravaban.net . She also said that she had consulted with a gynecologist to describe the whole event, after which the specialist noted that the doubts were appropriate and the story should be followed to the end.
“There is a person whom I see as key witnesses in this process, in this unfortunate story, and he is a very serious person, as a witness, as a participant. And I will go all the way to the end, with forces united with Haykuhi,” the sister who lost her brother said.
According to her, her mother was registered as a single mother at the Civilian Registrar’s Office, while the mother was legally married and her deceased brother was given a name, which is strange to them.
Anahit Ghazaryan noted that Razmik Abrahamyan, the director of the Republican Maternity Hospital, had been involved in that story.
“I may make a loud statement, but I am sure that, yes, the fish rots from the head, and naturally it had been done through his mediation and involvement in a number of scams,” she noted.
Abrahamyan is accused under Article 167 (2-2) and Article 200 (3) of the RA Criminal Code in the case of adoption of children by foreigners.
On 22 December, 2019, the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan presided by Judge David Balayan rejected the motion of the investigator to arrest Razmik Abrahamyan. The prosecutor’s office appealed the ruling of the Yerevan Court of First Instance demanding to choose arrested as a measure of restraint for Abrahamyan.
It should also be noted that Haykuhi Khachatryan, whom she mentions, has created the “Armenian Mothers” social movement, which seeks to find mothers who have lost a child and children who are looking for their parents.
