On January 15, an extraordinary session on the initiative of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, to discuss the issue of the measure of restraint of the former MP Manvel Grigoryan, is convened at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan.

Before the session, Manvel Grigoryan’s lawyer Arsen Mkrtchyan told the reporters  that his client’s condition was still grave.

As to the motion filed by the Prosecution on changing the measure of restraint, he noted: “I do not expect anything good from the Prosecutor’s Office in Manvel Grigoryan’s case of. And who said that the Prosecutor’s Office wants to change the measure of restraint, I do not believe and do not expect the Prosecutor’s Office to have such a intention,” Arsen Mkrtchyan said.

He also added that this is insurance for governing bodies. “The leaders, in my opinion, have decided to do everything possible so that to be insured tomorrow and a thousand apologies, will not remain on them in case of a bad way out, and nobody would say you were guilty for this,” he said.
