The “Dingo Team” Animal Protection NGO is alerting that the director of “Dilijan National Park” fired on a dog living in the territory of “Getap” restaurant complex, Dilijan. We learn about this from the Dingo Team’s Facebook page.
“Today, in front of the four eye-witnesses, the dog living in “Getap”restaurant complex Dilijan was shot. Here’s what eyewitness Arpi Tagoyan wrote: “Just before the “Getap” restaurant in Dilijan where we were sitting in their own cottage eating khash … we heard shots and a dog whimper. The poor one ran off under the first car … a group of men with guns ran after it and shot… After the first shot as we ran out, my husband cried after them to stop. But the second shot followed. I shouted as loud as I could; I was so excited …”
Witnesses alerted police. But this is not the first time police have responded that the law is not yet in force. Dear Naira Zohrabyan, please provide clear information here whether the law is in force already, as this is the third time we have been faced with such a problem.
The owner of the restaurant, Aghajanyan Surik, who, according to witnesses, shot the dog, is also the director of “Dilijan National Park”.

It is intended that cruel treatment of animals, by strangling, hanging, splitting, striking, lashing, shooting, disrupting an animal by poisoning or injecting a substance that results in a severe or painful death, is intended. animal slaughter, amputation or autopsy, throwing the live animal in fire, throwing from height or transporting, organizing and carrying out animal fights, as well as animals conducting scientific-training tests and other cruel treatment is punishable by a fine of 100.000 -300 000 AMD, or by imprisonment for the term of 1-3 months, or by imprisonment for the term of up to one year.
The same act committed:
1) by a group of persons with prior consent,
2) in cruelty,
3) in the presence of a child,
4) on two or more animals, is punishable by a fine in the amount of 300,000 – 500,000 AMD, or by imprisonment for 1-3 years.
