NA MP Gevorg Petrosyan has submitted a draft to the National Assembly, which is intended to read Article 226 of the Labor Code as follows:

“Before applying disciplinary sanctions, the employer must request from the employee to provide a written explanation of the violation. If the employee fails to provide an explanation without reasonable cause within the reasonable time limit set by the employer, the disciplinary penalty may be applied without written explanation.”
