The Court of General Jurisdiction of Ararat and Vayoc Dzor Regions is considering the criminal case brought against Anyuta B.

She is charged in selling “Azaleptin” tablets containing psychotropic material “Clozapine” to Mariam G. the inhabitant of the same village. The tablets have been legally purchased by her for her husband Kamo N., suffering from mental illness.

Anyuta B. was taken into custody as a measure of restraint.

According to Part 1, Article 266 of the RA Criminal Code illegal manufacture, processing, procurement, keeping, trafficking or supplying of narcotic drugs or psychotropic materials with the purpose of sale, is punished with imprisonment for the term of 3 to 7 years.

Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty by the court verdict lawfully entered into force as prescribed by Criminal Procedure Code.
