At today’s session of the executive body, a new government program has been introduced, part 4 is devoted entirely to the fight against corruption.
Under this program, a new universal anti-corruption body should be established.
“The Government is convinced that corruption is one of the most destructive phenomena in our society and the state, so the fight against corruption is one of the government’s priorities, and in this fight the government will be decisive, persistent, uncompromising and intolerant.
For the effectiveness of this struggle, it is necessary to ensure the implementation of the principle of mutual restraint and counterbalance, to actively operate the existing legislative and regulatory framework, as well as to introduce new tools. In this regard, the establishment of a specialized, independent anti-corruption body can have a significant importance, which will not only provide monitoring, supervision and researches, but also will have the capacity to carry out operative-intelligence, post and pre-investigative functions. The body to be formed will authorized to examine cases of corruption offenses,” indicates the program.
