Today the regular court sitting on criminal case Nona Harutyunyan v. Alla Tatintsyan under Article 340 (3) of the Criminal Code of the RA took place in the place the Court of General Jurisdiction of Syunik marz in Kapan. Lernik Atanyan was the presiding judge in the courtroom. Alvina Tatinyan was accused for forcing the witness Nona Harutyunyan to provide false evidences threatening her to cause harm to her health or to kill.
The accused Alla Tatintsyan’s newly appointed advocate Liana Grigoryan submitted the accreditations and the licens provided by the Chamber of Advocates of NKR and the copy of her passport.
The court clarified that pursuant to Article 17.1 of the RA law on Advocacy, Liana Grigoryan was not authorized to act as an advocate in the guven case on the assumption of the fact that she was not accredited in the Chamber of Advocates of the RA. The accused insisted that she had the right to have an advocate, and the court delayed the court sitting and set a new trial on 5 November 2012, at 12:00 without violating of the rights of the defendant.
