In the Lori Investigative Division of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a criminal case has been initiated on illegal tree cutting in the city of Vanadzor.
An alert was received on 17 August 2016, informing that at Tigran Mets Street of the Vanadzor city 6 coniferous trees were cut in the result of illegal deforestation causing considerable damage.
In this regard a criminal case was initiated in the Regional Investigation Department of Lori of the RA Investigation Committee on 19 August 2016, according to Part 1 of the Article 296 of the RA Criminal Code.
A preliminary investigation is in process.
All the necessary investigative and procedural measures are being undertaken in order to insure the comprehensive, objective and full examination of the details of the incident.
The relevant subdivisions of the Police are given the task to take measures to identify the person (the people), committed the apparent crime and take him (them) to the prosecution.
