“Barev Yerevan” demands to dismiss Lyova Yeranosyan from work and prosecute him under the law instead of sending on vacation. This is stated in the statement of the group, which reads:
“In July, a wave of protest arose as a result of the actions initiated by “Sasna Tsrer” group, which was manifested in demonstrations, marches and protests. The police suppressed these protests by force and violation of the law. Ashot Karapetyan, Chief of Yerevan Police bears the responsibility for these violations. “Barev Yerevan” group of the Council of Elders of Yerevan demanded his dismissal a few days ago. Currently his resignation is reality.
During those days, the actions of the police reached their culmination in Sari Tagh community. We can say that it was a terror against the demonstrators and civilians. The responsible and organizer for those atrocities was the RA Deputy Chief of Police, Commander of Police Troops Lyova Yeranosyan, who was sent on vacation by the decision of RA Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.
“Barev Yerevan” demands to dismiss Lyova Harutyunyan from work and prosecute him with all strictness of the law instead of sending on vacation.
The group shall go on presenting the sequential series of “candidates” to media and public demanding their resignation and shall be consistent in their realization.”
