On May 5, in Shushi, President of the NKR National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan presented the new ombudsman Ruben Melikyan to the office of the Human rights defender.
The Head of the Parliament highly appreciated the activity of the first Ombudsman of Artsakh, Yuri Hayrapetyan, and on behalf of the government expressed gratitude for the formation of the institute of human rights defender.
Introducing the new ombudsman, Ashot Ghoulyan noted that despite his young age, the professional education and rich working experience of Ruben Melikyan will allow him will bring the work human rights defender to a new level.
The new Ombudsman of Artsakh, in his turn, expressed gratitude to Yuri Hayrapetyan for the creation of the office of human rights defender and the work done, noting that through teamwork, he will be able to justify the trust of the Parliament.
