MP Tevan Poghosyan presented his speech in the National Assembly today:
“Dear Collegues,
I believe no one have doubts that we need to learn the lessons of the four-day war. We all talk about this. But there is something that I do not like much. The observations of each of us refer to the activities that the others do or not do. What did this one do? And what did that one do? Why did this third one made a selfie? And so on, The proposals of others mainly are limited to “and why didn’t you come and tell us what you do as well? Why do not you listen to our opinion and so on, or in short – Boys play with us as well?” I do not criticize, but it is necessary as well.
But for me personally the number one question among all is “And what have I done?” or “What less I did? And what more shall I do. Or God forbid it if everything is repeated again. These are more important questions. Now I have taken the floor to ask all of us, we, as the National Assembly, “Do we know what we should do in such situations? What less we have done? Ore whether we are perfect? Can we all together as a National Assembly record and say loudly “People, speaking frankly, we were not prepared and in many cases we do whatever we thought. Or do we keep ourselves publicly boast, and do something like a kind of political selfie.”
And there are a lot of questions. For example, do we know how many people in the National Assembly know English so well that it will be no shame to send to Al Jazeera live? Do we know with whom these people shall connect at the x moment and who shall they get the direct airing? And how many people can speek Russian without an accent? Have we clarified or do these people know how and what shall they cry on RTR at the X moment? Have we spoken with our colleagues who are experienced in conducting psychological work with large groups of people? And do they know the area where they would act if needed?
And more questions, the questions are many. If we shall not raise these questions and give answers, we will definitely do what we shall thing at the X moment. And after the next X moment we shall agin cry “Guys we are again cheated.”
