One of the first volunteers of Artsakh has joined volunteered on 2 April 2016. He took part in the military operations in tallish direction, where he fell heroically in the battle on the night of April 4 to 5.
Norayr Hajiyan
Norayr Hajiyan was born on 17 July, 1976 in Baku, in the journalist’s family. In 1988 the family leved for Yerevan due to the famous events. From December 1992 till the end of August 1995, he participated in the defense of Armenia (Kornidzor, Shurnukh) as a member of different volunteer detachments (Aramo-114, Koryun Ghumashyan, Artsiv-24) and in the defense of Artsakh (Lachin, Kelbajar, Omar, Kubatlu, Martakert).
In 1997-1999 served in NKR defense Army (Askeran Self-defense Region).
In August 2015, during the regular aggression of Azerbaijan, he volunteered to NKR defense Army and had active participation in defense battles for Artsakh. He has a university education, graduated from the faculty of Economy of Mesrop Mashtots University in Stepanakert.
Though registered in Yerevan after yeh military service he stayed and was permanently living in Stepanakert.
