The Court of Appeals decided that Appeals should be submitted within 25 Days instead of One Month

In the case No EKD/0109/01 in the RA’s Court of Appeals, presided by Judges M. Papoyan, S. Chichoyan, and M. Arghamanyan filed against the criminal case regarding the illegal decision, Attorney Karen Margaryan dismissed the appeal on the grounds that “Studying the materials on this criminal case it turns out that the verdict of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts was proclaimed on 12 June, 2015. According to the notes existing in the criminal case, defense attorney Armen Hayrapetyan and Armen Antonyan received copies of the verdict on 15 February, 2016.”

In this above-mentioned factual circumstances, the time period for the appeal on this criminal case should be admitted since the defense attorneys receive the verdict on 15 February, 2016 (within 25 days) and based on the fact that the defense attorneys Armen Hayrapetyan and Armen Antonyan had received the copies of the verdict on 15 February, 2016. The time period of the appeal on the verdict of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts on 12 January, 2016, expires on 11 March, 2016, at 24:00, while the appeal was submitted on the 28th day of receiving the judicial act – on 14 March, 2016”.
