22 Million AMD was embezzled from the Polyclinic. Why is the Trial being postponed continuously?

The Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts is hearing the case of embezzlement of significant amount of money from Polyclinic No. 17.

Two employees and the director of Polyclinic No. 17 have appeared in court. 37-year-old Aspram Yeghiazaryan is accused for the action that she, working as a chief accountant at “Polyclinic No. 17” LTD of Yerevan Municipality, has stolen 21,911,000 AMD. Furthermore, together with Susanna Saribekyan, the accountant and treasurer of the same polyclinic, she has provided assistance to the director of the institution Gagik Sahakyan to appropriate 3,951,900 AMD, which caused the company a significant amount of material losses.

Today’s hearing was again postponed. It is already the fifth time that the trial has been postponed for various excuses. This time the postponement of the court hearing was related to the public defenders of the accused. They were not present at the trial. Notably, the public defenders were absent at the previous hearing as well.
