According to Maxim Sargsyan, one of the members of “No to Plunder!” civil initiative, persecution and threats have started against the members of the initiative and the activists of the protests against the electricity price rise.
The police officers responsible for school safety and security issues approach pupils, visit apartments of citizens registered in different RA regions urging them not to participate in the demonstrations.
“Individuals from different institutions visit people under different pretexts and bringing various excuses urge and threaten people not to go out into the streets and fight,” said M. Sargsyan.
He added that they keep informing the citizens who have come across this problem about their rights and they will do everything to make sure the citizens’ rights are not violated.
