Information for Employees

Failure of calculation or payment of the salary by the employer in compliance to the order stipulated by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, or failure to pay the salary for the idle time which is caused not on the employees fault, or determining less salary than stipulated in Article 1 and/or Article 2 of the RA Law on Minimal Wages, or calculation by mistake of an amount in excess of the amount provided, shall involve penalization of the official who made the error, in the amount of a quarter of the salary not calculated or not payed to each employee.

The same violation committed after application of the administrative penalty during one year shall involve penalization of the infringer at the rate of one third of the amount of each not calculated or not paid salary.

The employer is exempt from the above mentioned liability to pay salaries, if the employee failed to provide to the employer his/her public services number (social security card) or a reference of not receiving public services number in the order stipulated by law.
