Did the Investigator Convince the Witness? She Claims that the Reply was Compulsively Exorted from Her and Her Husband

Today witness Dianna Hayrapetyan was questioned at the court on the case of former head of the Judicial Department Misak Martirosyan and others. She stated that she had presented documents to the Judicial Department to be hired as a bailiff, but didn`t go to work.

The accusing party saw some contradictions in her testimonies and asked whether the investigator gave the preliminary investigation testimonies to her to look through. The witness first said that she didn`t read the testimonies, afterwards she added that the investigator gave the testimony to look through and sign but she just didn`t read it. To the question of the judge whether the investigator pressured or convinced her, the witness said honestly: “I saw a bit of convincing factor. The investigator was asking any things and giving answers to my questions”.

Afterwards the judge asked whether she knew Gegham Grigoryan, the witness immediately stated she didn`t know him. On the accusation`s request her preliminary investigation testimonies were announced which showed that she had known Gegham Grigoryan, got in contact with him while getting hired, it was even stated that Mr. Grigoryan was from Artsakh like her.

Listening to the preliminary investigation testimonies the witness said: “The investigator himself, as I remembered, invited my husband to the investigation, they questioned us together, and he was exerting some answers from my husband”. The judge said that the expression “exerted” implied that there was a pressure or compulsion on behalf of the investigator. “Yes, to some extent, the investigator saw that he couldn`t get any answers from me, so he was exerting answers from my husband”, said the witness.
