Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on using violence against the police officers was completed in Lori Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee. The Information department of the Investigative Committee of the RA informed.
Through preliminary investigation it was found that on December 29, 2014 at about 23:30 the resident of Vanadzor, being under the influence of alcohol, tried to stop a taxi at the building 59/4, Aghayan Street, Vanadzor but no taxi stopped, so he started scolding loudly.
The police officers of SPS platoon of Bazum division of Vanadzor, performing their duties in the mentioned place, demanded that the man should stop scolding and keep the public order.
Through the investigation sufficient data were obtained on the allegation that the man neglecting the police officers’ legal demand pulled from their uniforms, scolded then hit at the face and the frontal surface of the chest of one of the policemen.
On the base of the evidence obtained during pretrial proceeding charge was pressed against the resident of Vanadzor according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 of RA Criminal Code.
On June 23, 2015 the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offense shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
