On March 26, 2015, the UN Secretary General special ambassador Michael Kazachkin, who deals with issues related to HIV and AIDS in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, visited the State Migration Service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations. He was accompanied by Barbara Rehbinder, the assistant of the special ambassador, and Lena Nanushyan, the representative of UNAIDS Armenia. We learn about this from the Press Service of the SMS MTA.
The effect of the migration factor on the spread of AIDS in the RA and the steps made toward the resolution of the problem were discussed during the meeting.
The guests asked the RA SMS MTA deputy Mrs. Davtyan to present the procedures of the Armenian migrants who leave for Russia to work connected to the membership of Armenia in EAEU, as well as the migration policy of Russia toward the RA citizens.
