290 Wounded, 7 Dead, 13 Unidentified Bodies, Many Missing: Consequences of the Explosion of the Gasoline Warehouse in Artsakh

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh reports that as a result of a large explosion at a fuel warehouse in the Askeran region on 25 September, the “Republican Medical Center” of the Ministry of Health of the Artsakh Republic, the “Arevik” Medical Center, the Ivanyan Medical Station and the Medical Station of the Russian peacekeepers received a total of 290 patients with burns of varying degrees of severity.

Most of them were transferred to the “Republican Medical Center”.

Unfortunately, the lives of 7 patients could not be saved and they died in the hospital.

Dozens of patients affected by the explosion are still in critical condition.

13 unrecognized bodies were transferred to the “Bureau of Forensic Examination”.

Many people are considered missing because they were burned as a result of the explosion and additional information about them needs to be verified.

The doctors and medical staff in Stepanakert are doing their best to save the lives of the wounded in these difficult and cramped conditions. Additional information regarding developments will be provided.
