The Prosperous Armenia Party will not participate in the upcoming elections of the Yerevan Council of Elders and will not support any of the political forces.
Iveta Tonoyan, a former deputy of the “Prosperous Armenia” Faction of the National Assembly reported.
“As a result of open and complex discussions with party members and representatives of territorial structures, it was finally decided that the Prosperous Armenia Party will not participate in the upcoming elections of the Yerevan Council of Elders and will not support any of the political forces.
I do not hide it, there were different points of view, different arguments and counter-arguments were voiced.
The final decision was made under the influence of two main factors.
- The Party is currently in an intensive phase of transformations, on the way to structural and essential reformation.
- At this moment, due to the prevailing situation around Artsakh, there is no real debate and discussion atmosphere about the development of Yerevan and urban issues in our society.
PAP wishes success to the forces participating in the elections, for the benefit of our people and the welfare of the people of Yerevan.
