According to the Ministry of Health, the rescuers found the body of another citizen from under the ruins.
As of now, the number of victims as a result of the explosion is 3.
Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that on 14 August, at 1:23 p.m., the National Crisis Management Center received an alert that an explosion had occurred in the “Surmalu” Shopping Center.
“Number 3” call of fire complexity was announced. Four more combat units from the fire-rescue squads of the rescue department of Yerevan city of MES left to the scene of the incident. Eleven combat units from the fire-rescue squads of Yerevan city and regional rescue departments of the MES and Rescue Service left for the scene to help.
Fire extinguishing works are carried out in four locations. Fourteen water carriers of Yerevan Municipality, eight trucks, three tractors and one crane are involved in the works.
