The conditions of the Ukrainian side in the negotiations are known

Oleksiy Arestovych, an advisor to the head of the President’s Office said that the conditions of Ukraine in the negotiations with Russia are a ceasefire and the withdrawal of all Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine.  Украинская Прада reported.

According to him, according to international conventions, including the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the negotiation process is not covered until the parties publish the common denominator.

Arestovich explained that for the first time Kiev refused to take part in the talks because the Russian side wanted to capitulate.

“We laughed heartily in the office, we refused to negotiate for the first time. The fact that Russia is the first to ask us for talks says a lot from my point of view. They promised to remove the preconditions, we agreed.”

To the host’s clarifying question that it is about Donbas, Arestovich said. “About Donbas, Crimea. All troops must leave Ukraine. Our troops will bury everyone anyway, so it is better to leave voluntarily.”

Answering the question about the results of the negotiations, he mentioned that he would not call it negotiations. According to him, Kiev calls it consultations.
