Putin posthumously awarded soldiers died in Turkey

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on 15 August awarding Russian soldiers who died in a firefighting operation in Turkey posthumously with the Order of Courage.  RIA Novosti reported.

Vladislav Berkutov, Vadim Karas, Yevgeny Kuznetsov, Nikolai Omelchenko and Yuri Chubarov were aewarded.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Be-200 firefighting plane crashed during a firefighting operation in Adana.

There were eight people on board, 5 Russian servicemen and 3 Turks, who were forestry workers.

The cause of the accident will be found out by the commission sent to the scene.
