The Prime Minister of Argentina Santiago Cafiero has announced the introduction of a curfew in the country to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
“RIA Novosti” news agency reported.
“An agreement has been reached with all governors to ban traffic at night. The exact list of measures is now being finalized, it will be decided by the evening, it will be published the next day,” Cafiero said at a press conference.
According to the latest data, 1.66 million cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Argentina, including 43,785 deaths. In late December 2020, the authorities closed the borders to tourists from neighboring countries, tightened entry requirements due to the growing number of diseases in the country.
