Ara Abrahamyan, President of the Union of Armenians in Russia, posted a statement on the union’s page, which states: “We must deal with this issue (of the return of the captives, ed.): I met with the President’s Assistant for International Affairs, Yuri Ushakov. That is the first task we have set. We wrote a letter to the President, we received a response. Today the President of the Russian Federation personally deals with this issue,” Abrahamyan said.

Abrahamyan sent a letter to Putin expressing his concern over the non-fulfillment of Azerbaijan’s commitments related to prisoners of war.
