The Israeli President reacted to the Tragedy in Beirut

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin commented on the tragedy in Beirut.

“We share the pain of the Lebanese people and sincerely extend a helping hand during this difficult time,” he wrote on Twitter.

It should be noted that the number of victims of the explosion in Beirut reaches 63.

With the support of international Zionism, Israel gained 6.7 thousand km2 areas from the Arab state of Palestine during the Arab-Israeli war of 1948-1949, as well as the western part of Jerusalem. The Israeli government deported some 1 million Arabs from the occupied territories. In 1949, Israel signed temporary ceasefire agreements with Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria, but these were not replaced by peace treaties.

Israel’s borders with Lebanon and Syria are not officially regulated. The existing so-called “blue line” between Lebanon and Israel is recognized by the UN, but the Sherma Shebaa territories remain disputed.
