Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to immediately cease fire.

This is stated in the message of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“Lavrov called on the parties to cease fire immediately, to show restraint, given the commitments made,” the statement said, adding that Russia would continue its mediation mission in the format of bilateral contacts with the parties and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.

“All members of the Minsk Group should take a responsible approach to assessing the situation, avoiding statements and actions that could provoke further escalation of tensions.”
