In general, the plaintiffs pay 2% state duties of the cost for the property claim in the civil procedure, but no more than 50% of the basic tax, whereas in case of non property claims a fourfold of the basic tax. The basic tax is 1000 AMD.
However, the civil plaintiffs do not pay state duties in the criminal proceeding. Pursuant to Article 157 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, “A civil suit commenced during a criminal proceeding shall be exempt from state duties.”
