Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, said on Wednesday that the corrupt US presence in the region must end.  Iranian IRNA news agency reports.

The leader described the attack on two US military bases in Iraq as a “slap in the face”. “Such military actions are not enough; the corrupt US presence in the region must be stopped.”

The leader noted that the Americans had brought war, intrigue and destruction to the region.

“We slapped them that night, but revenge is another matter. US plans have been neutralized in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon with the help of the dear martyr Sulaiman,” the leader added.

The leader has called the United States, the Zionist regime, and the apparatus of arrogance the enemy of the Islamic Republic.

Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that “as long as there is no particular state against Iran, we do not consider it an enemy.”
