David Khachatryan’s Advocate is going to apply to the European Court of Human Rights

Yerem Sargsyan, the advocate of David Khachatryan, who was sentenced to 17 years in prison for the murder of the 19 year-old soldier Lyuks Stepanyan, has told iravaban.net that he had met with his client’s brother. He said they had discuss finally the issue of applying to the European Court of Human Rights, but they were still on the preparatory level of the work. The advocate said- “We will probably apply to the European Court of Human Rights after making a decision.” On 15 May, 2013, 19 year old soldier David Khachatryan, shot from his AKM assault rifle, and caused Lyuks Stepanyan’s immediate death of the wound the latter received on his head. Hrachya Sargsyan, who was also a soldier at the same army unit, got a bullet wound on his head.
