The actions of the RA Prosecutor General are not in violation of law with regard of the case of the murder of Avetisyan family. The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Center and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts concluded after considering the MP Zaruhi Postanjyan’s complaint.
Today, Judge Gagil Poghosyan rejected the MP’s complaint, “The court found that there was no violation of the law in the actions of the Prosecutor in substance. That is the Prosecutor had sent the case in the framework of his authorities to the Investigative Committee and further the Investigative Committee shall be accountable for it,” Harutyun Baghdasaryan, the MP’s representative at court informed Iravaban.net about it and added, “Here we had a question which was really interesting for us. That is if the case under the requirement of Article 235 (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, etc) of the RA Criminal Code was initiated, why then the Prosecutor General did not answer to Zaruhi Postanjyan immediately saying that they had already initiated a case under that article. Here the Investigative Committee in violation of the terms provided by law sent a reply to the Prosecution on the 22nd day. The latter brought it to the court,” said the advocate.
