The Investigation department of  Kentron and Nork Marash Administrative Districts continue preliminary investigation of the case on the fact of kidnapping Artak Khachatryan to find and identify the persons who committed the crime, the RA Investigative committee informs.

A number of witnesses and the victim Khachatryan were questioned.

The investigation found out that on 7 February 2015, 12:00 Artak Kahchatryan and his friend N. Abrahamyan on Mercedes bents car parked near the hotel Complex ‘’Tsghotner  on Tolstoy street. Just at that moment a black “Toyota Corolla” car rapidly approached them. Three masked persons get out of the car approached them and kidnapped Khachatryan put him “Toyota Corolla” and mo0ved rapidly in the direction of Nar Dos Street. According to preliminary investigation they were armed. After the kidnapping they kept Khachatryan for several hours during which the beat him and then let him go in a deserted area. Artak Khachatryan came home by himself. On the same day at 19:20 the ambulance took him to “Malatia” Medical Center.

On the day of the incident Khachatryan had two cell phones with him. One phone was found near the building “Metax Gold.” The witnesses informed that it was thrown out from a black “Toyota Corolla” car. The second phone was found in Khaghagh Don Street of Yerevan.

The investigation officials spoke with the citizens who had witnessed the fact of throwing out the phones.

During the preliminary investigation Artak Khachatryan’s brother provided a video record showing that on that they the “Mercedes bents ML” vehicle which his brother’s friend Narek Abrhamyan drove, was followed by a black “Toyota Corolla” car.

Measures are being carried out to find and identify the owner of the black “Toyota Corolla” car.
