According to operative data of the Defense Army, in the period of 19 – 20 January, the enemy violated the ceasefire regime on the contact line of NKR and Azerbaijanian troops around 220 times. During that period the enemy made around 2000 shots towards the Armenian frontier troops from weapons of different calibers.
In the same period the enemy made 8 reconnaissance subversive attempts, which the Armenian side detected in timely manner and repulsed. The enemy suffered losses.
As a result of violation of the ceasefire regime by the enemy in southern direction, soldier Suren Pilosyan, DoB 1995, was mortally injured and died.
The NKR Defense Ministry shares the grief of loss and expresses support to the family members, relatives and friend of S. Pilosyan.
Investigation aimed to reveal the details of the incident is in process.
