Yesterday, a public defender was provided to Valeri Permyakov. Hayk Hovsepyan, the Press secretary of the RA Chamber of Advocates told to Iravaban.net, that yesterday after the midday based on the decision of the Senior Investigator of the Department on Especially Important Cases of the RA Investigation Committee, the Public Defender’s Office of the RA provided a public defender to protect the rights of the Russian soldier. The Press secretary did not tell the name of the Public defender assigned for Valeri Permyakov.
Yesterday at the press conference, the RA Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan told that the investigators were questioning Valeri Permyakov. The RA Investigation Department had taken a decision on involving the Russian soldier as a defendant in the case, however, no official information about assigning a public defender was provided.
