President of the European Movement in Armenia Viktor Yengibaryan wrote in his Facebook account.
“I haven’t got Hasan Cemal’s book yet, but in any case it is a fact that the Pasha’s grandson recognizes the Armenian Genocide. Many people were angry with his different assessments and words: this is understandable. But I assure that the man who has the courage to consider directly or indirectly his grandfather as a villain is worth of respect. A weak and foolish man could not call a brother the grandson of a person who had killed his grandfather and call to eliminate the psychological, mental and physical barriers.
We also need to be psychologically ready for the 100th anniversary; many people will come and go, we have no right to throw out the people who know and share our history, we need to let everyone know about the Genocide; each with their history, psychology, mental ability and perspective… Courage is needed for this as well.”
