On 10 and 11 December as a result of cooperation of the Passport and Visa department of the RA Police and the Social Psychological and Legal Section of the Criminal–Executive Department of the RA Ministry of Justice the process of providing identification cards to the convicts of “Abovyan” and “Vardashen” penitentiaries was launched. 28 prisoners received identification cards and will be able to participate perform civil transactions during the term in prison as well as after the release. The process will be continued in other penitentiaries that operate in the Republic of Armenia.
