The Special Investigation Service of the RA instituted a criminal proceeding with regard to the criminal case initiated in Erebuni Department of the RA Police in accordance with Part 1 of Article 325 of the RA criminal Code․
An inquiry with the request on authentication of the passport of the RA citizen Albert C. who had applied to the RA Embassy in France was sent to the Visa and Passport Department of the RA Police accompanied with a letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RA. As a result of inspection Erebuni Department of the RA Police prepared the materials and initiated a criminal case.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the round seal and the stamp on the application card on “Passport Actions” that was filled in the name of Albert S. did not correspond with those used by the corresponding state body․
In addition it was revealed that Albert C. during his absence from the Republic of Armenia had obtained a passport from Erebuni Passport Department of the RA Passport and Visa Department of the RA Police. Preliminary investigation is in process․
