December 10 is celebrated as International Human Rights Day

On 10 December, 1948, the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In 1950, at the suggestion of the General Assembly, various states and organizations, and today the whole world celebrates 10 December as the International Day for the Protection of Human Rights.
