The Parliament of Georgia could not remove the President Salome Zurabishvili. TASS reported.
Fewer than 100 deputies voted in favor of removing the President, so the impeachment did not take place. According to the voting results, 86 deputies voted in favor of impeachment of the President, 1 against.
At least 100 of the 150 votes of the Parliament or two-thirds are needed to remove the President.
The parliamentary opposition did not participate in the voting.
